Dear Clients and Friends,

It is with great sadness that we are writing to you to inform you of the sudden passing of our colleague and friend Jean Utley, E.A. on Monday, November 16, 2009. We know that to many of you, Jean was a personal friend as well as a trusted advisor.

Jean devoted a great deal of her time and passion to both her work with our clients as well as her volunteer time with the United Way. Her passing is a great loss to the firm, to her colleagues, and to her clients and friends.

This news has saddened all of us at Kirkby, Phelan & Associates. Our deepest condolences are extended to her mother, Jo Ann Mathiesen, sister and brother in law Jill and Alan Carter, her daughters Carie and Alicia and her five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Jean Utley to the United Way DuPage Area Chapter by check payable to “United Way of DuPage Area” and mailed to P.O. Box 5317, Oak Brook, IL 60522.
